Born to hippies growing up in communes through out the south west Sean was accustomed to the “alternative” lifestyle since day one, some of his first memories are Latin groups and the Almond Brothers band. Sean took up guitar at a young age and turned it from a hobby to a career by the age of 15, performing 3 nights weekly with his high school band at local bars in Ontario, he furthered his studies in Jazz Performance at Humber college in Toronto, and finishing up at McGill university where he changed his major to composition and arranging.
It wasn’t till after college when he had moved to Vancouver that the electronic bug bite him in the early 90’s while having a acid jazz group called Shazzam he also cultivated a prosperous DJ/producing career starting a couple boutique labels, most notably Cache Records, and the short lived PFB, and finally settling in on label duties with his long time friend and partner Nav Bhinder at Bombay records.
At Bombay Sean’s duties included A&R, artistic direction, and head of production, bringing Bombay into the new age of House, and Hip-Hop producing two full length albums Tim Fuller’s “Slightest Touch” and Daybi’s “First Contact”. Daybi and Sean being of North American Indian heritage where nominated for an Aboriginal Music Award in 2010 for the efforts on “First Contact”
These days finds Sean playing guitar in a Vancouver band called the Foundation, they have been involved in The Shore 104’s song writing contest taking home the top awards and backing some of the finest soul singers in Vancouver opening for acts such as Ziggy Marley, Ky-Mani Marley, Aloe Blacc and Yellow Man to name a few.
